Privacy Policy for AANO Notes

1. Data Collection & Offline Storage

AANO Notes is designed as an offline-first, privacy-respecting notes application. All notes, folders, and settings created in the app are stored exclusively on your local device storage. We do not operate advertising SDKs, tracking software, or personal telemetry services.

2. Google Drive API Usage (drive.file Scope)

If you choose to enable cloud synchronization, AANO uses Google OAuth 2.0 with the non-sensitive https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive.file scope.

• Narrow Scope: This scope grants AANO access only to the specific configuration and data file (aano-notes.json) created by AANO itself.
• No Access to Personal Drive: AANO cannot view, read, modify, or delete any other personal documents, spreadsheets, photos, or files located in your Google Drive.
• User Ownership: Your synchronized note data remains strictly inside your own private Google Drive account. We do not copy, read, or process your note contents on any central server.

3. Data Sharing & Security

We do not sell, rent, or transfer any user data to third parties. All network communications with Google APIs occur over TLS encrypted HTTPS endpoints directly between your client device and Google servers.

4. Revoking Access & Data Deletion

You can disconnect Google Drive sync at any time directly in the AANO Settings menu or via your Google Account Permissions page. Deleting your notes locally or removing the aano-notes.json file completely purges your synced data.
